Questions About Acura Awd Tsx

Helen asks…

Lincoln MKZ vs Acura TSX?

OK, So I am looking at the :
Acura TSX
5AT w/Navigation System

For 28 invoice. 30 MSRP.

how does the acura compare with the Lincoln MKZ?
ride?
performance?
etc....

2007 Lincoln MKZ
V6 AWD

2007 Acura TSX
6MT w/Navigation System

admin answers:

No question the Lincoln is way more car. And for the above poster, the Z is based on the 6/Milan platform. Also, the Nav system in the Z was voted best by JD powers in 2006, edging out the Lexus system. The TSX is a spruced up Honda civic. To all the domestic doubters & haters- when are you going to stop bashing the domestics for no reason and give them a chance?! Honda & toyota make good cars but by no means are they superior to us. Look at all the recalls toyota just had plus the sludged engines. Honda just reacalled 36,000 civic hybrids for stalling, not to metion the accord for airbag problems. Maybe some people should move to Japan!

Michael asks…

Which gives a sportier ride? An Acura TSX or RDX?

I know that the RDX has a 240 hp turbocharged engine and it has SH-AWD and the TSX has a 200 hp 4 cylinder engine with only front wheel drive. But whould the extra weight the RDX has to pull around make it feel more sluggish than the TSX with a weaker engine?

admin answers:

The Acura TSX would give a sportier ride. Like its brochure says, it has "race-inspired suspension". The car doesn't have the power to beat many cars in the straight-away, but you'd be able to out-do them in the twisties.

The RDX is a crossover SUV. Although it has a turbo engine, that turbo is necessary because of all of the extra weight. In other words, the turbo was not added for performance...

Even though the TSX is a 205 hp I4 vehicle, that power is just right for the vehicle. The car has some pep and will give you some enjoyment while driving...

Sandy asks…

what do you guys think about the new 2009 honda/acura tsx thats gonna come out?

Its gonna be a 2.3l turbocharged SH-AWD four cylinder.

admin answers:

Im sure its gonna be nice

Charles asks…

In general, are Audis difficult to service?

Some German cars are difficult to service. The designs are very complicated. I heard that Audi A4 require that you take off the front bumper skin and grill to change a headlight bulb and some major body parts need to be taken off to change the water pump. Is this true or at least my impression? I heard that 1980's Maserati Biturbos needed radiator removal to change the oil...very stupid design or designed by someone with no regard to costs and labor. How about Audis, particularly the A4? I am looking for a slightly better car, like Volvo S60, Saab 9-3, Acura TSX, Lexus IS250 AWD, etc.

admin answers:

Audi's are complicated and repair costs will reflect that fact. Audi shops also charge a lot in labor, compared with Honda/Acura mechanics for example. Audi's are also known for their electrical gremlins. If you are concerned about repair costs, I would avoid Audi or stay under a warranty.

Questions About Acura Tl Type S 2007

Ken asks…

How much should a 2007 acura tl type s cost per month on a lease with no money down?

admin answers:

Hmmm i would say around 450-475 month for 36 months.

Sandra asks…

Whats a good remote start for my 2007 Acura TL Type S and where should i get it install it in Baltimore MD?

admin answers:

A good one would be a 1-mile range remote start alarm system. Viper, clifford, and compustar are mainly the good brand named ones. I have a viper 5900 sst 1 mile range remote start and it has been very good to me. But sorry i dont know where you can install it there in MD i live in CA.

And a cheap place to buy it is from ebay then have it installed. It costed me about $130 to get mine installed. And i bought the alarm for $100 locally off craigslist.

Daniel asks…

Which car is better a 2007 Acura TL type S or an 2007 Acura TSX?

Both of them look beautiful but I'm not sure which one I should get. I heard the TL type S has a rougher suspension because its sport tuned and the TSX is smoother. Which one do you recommend? And why? Thanks

admin answers:

I would get the TSX.

It has the best 4 cylinder engine in the world and better gas mpg. It's pretty, peppy and fun to drive.

Donna asks…

How much does a oil change for a 2007 Acura TL Type S cost?

admin answers:

$20

George asks…

are they faster then the rsx?

admin answers:

Edmunds says around 7.0 seconds.

Donald asks…

what is the 0-60 time for a 2008 acura tsx v4?

admin answers:

What the hell is a v4? That doesn't exist in this dojo.

Joseph asks…

Why does it take longer for a car to accelerate from 5-60 than 0-60?

Simple physics cant explain why a car accelerates faster from a complete stop (0-60mph) than a "rolling start" (5-60mph). Can somebody explain? For all you skeptics out there who say this isnt true I have gathered this data from Car & Driver.
0-60 mph 5-60 mph
2004 Acura TSX 7.2 sec 7.7 sec
2006 Corvette Z06 3.6 sec 4.3 sec

If you still dont believe me I challenge you to look up these stats for ANY car in ANY magazine!

admin answers:

With a manual transmission, it will be quicker from 5-60 than 0-60. However, if the car is rolling at 5 mph with an automatic transmission, it will be in second gear and will not have the same torque to the wheels that it would in first gear. And it will take a heartbeat to shift down to first gear for maximum acceleration.
