What color of HID for lights do you think would match a Black 09 TSX? yellow or white? how may K?
(the original low beam is HID)

2500k HID's that are amber or gold-yellowish in color. My black RSX has the 2500k Phillips for fogs and it looks sweet. Also does wonders on foggy nights. Coz if you are already running 4000k, i'm guessing, for your low beam then having the same color wouldn't do you any good especially if u are driving in foggy roads. But if the area that u are in rarely has fog then get the same color as your low beam for that mono-white menace look!

lights for the 2009 acura tsx?

i recently got this car so i'm still trying to figure out how to fully work it.

the headlights seem to always be on. there are three levels of brightness and the lowest level, which is like a yellow light as opposed to the bright white lights of the other two levels. is this normal? can i turn off the yellow light during the day? if so, how?

All of the new Honda and Acura models come standard with daytime running lights (DRL's) as an added safety feature. You're more visible to other cars with the low wattage bulb, but that's why they are yellow. There is a way to turn off the DRL's, you can disconnect it by removing the fuse, but the warning light will come on from the dash. Or, just change the bulbs to a whiter color.

Whats the difference between Xenon HID headlights and Bi-Xenon HID Headlights?

Are Bi-Xenon HID the ones that appear whiter?
and Xenon HID are the ones that appear a bluish white?

like, the 2008 Acura TL has Bi-Xenon HID Headlights and the 2009 Acura TSX has Xenon HID Headlights.

It has nothing to do with the color of the light!! Bi-Xenon are for cars that have the low beam and the high beam on the same bulb. That for cars like the Ford Mustang the newest one and like the Ford Ecosport or the Mazda Protege. Both have only one light bulb so they would need Bi-Xenon. And just Xenon HIDs are for cars that have separate high and low beams like a VW Golf or the Honda Accord. HID means High Intensity Discharge.

As for the color the graphic starts in red an goes to blue. Blue is for most intesity and red for less intensity. Thats why Xenon lights are sort of blueish and have their names HID.

In my personal opinion I would rather the Xenon HID because you have separate lamps and some of the you can graduate diferently and have a better vision than Bi-Xenon in which it both would depend on the same lamp angle.

I'm getting a 2009 Acura TSX with the technology package. So I was wandering what exterior features should i get. i want the car to look cool but i dont want to over do it. and im not trying to be racist but take into account that im white.

If it was mine I would get new rims and lights underneath, and depending on the color of the car, I'd get some high quality window tint.

I want a car that is fun to drive and is reliable. Also with good amout of room to fit my family/friends. Also the gas mileage. And the maintenance as well. THANKS

I work for Nissan but would say the TL wins hands down. A 14 year old Z car will not be fun with 4 people inside maintence costs parts availabilty may become issues. A brand new Acura TL before they changed to that ugly grill shield thing. Anytime you can afford almost new high tech verses GT touring from the last century. I would take high tech. But I would also look at a fully loaded 2009 Maxima just in case you want to go Nissan

Kinetic Blue Pearl was exclusive for the TL Type-S, so both the USA and Canada had it. So, no Kinetic Blue Pearl was not only available in the USA.

Acura is loaded with all beel and whistles has 15000 miles and 3 years of warranty left for 30k
BMW has only months of warranty left 44000 miles also loaded and in great shape for 33k
Audi has 18000 miles all the bells and whistles is immacculate and is 39k

The TL is slightly faster...plug in the specs into a simple 1/4 mile ET calculator...

TL type-s is 14.22
RSX-S is 14.78

These times are at little faster than the cars actually are...but it's just for comparison's sake. Realistically the RSX runs high 14's/low 15's stock and the TL will run mid 14's.

BUT...spend $600 for a hondata reflash and $200 for an AEM CAI for the RSX and you'll be right on par with the TL.

Put it on a track, and find out.

It doesn't matter what the factory rated speed was (which you could have looked up yourself, if you had bothered), because you are not a professional driver, do not have a brand new car, and do not have ideal track conditions.

All of which were the standard that were used when the 0-60 was calculated.

So, go to a track, and see how fast YOU can do it. Not just once, but can perform that speed repeatedly. There's your 0-60.

where do i get a supercharger for my 2003 acura tl type s?

i obviously have a 2003 acura tl type s, and i want to put a supercharger on it to give it a little boost if u know what i mean lol. it is a v6 engine and i think its getting 260hp right now... but it goes fast and the 0-60 is just under 6sec. i got atpl exhaust, and it sounds really nice, but now i just need the supercharger to complete the job.
where do i get the supercharger that will fit this car?
please no crappy or top class superchargers. i dont want to waste money

Acura made a supercharger for the 2003 CL-S. It was then about $3,000 installed at the dealership. I imagine that the same component could be used on a TL-S. I could not however find this part after a few searches. The closest I found was by Comptech...a division of Acura. BUT the part listed is for a 2004-2008 TL. It lists for $4,495.00 through E-bay. Yes you can, and the TL type-s is much more powerful and more fun to drive! I've haven't driven one personally, but i drive an rsx type-s and have driven a base model rsx and the difference is so great that i would never drive a base model. Plus, the type-s can come in a 6 speed, and manuals are more fun.

This is a no-brainer.
The BMW handle MUCH better.

Look at the facts:
Twin turbo RWD platform 300+hp
It's a BMW which are probably the best handling cars out of the box.
Do simple mods to it and it will be even funner to drive, its easy to make extra power when you have a turbo car.



The Acura on the other hand, not to hate on anyone here, but it's afwd 300hp car that weights 3500+lbs.... That combination of drivetrain and power will never handle well. Simply will have too much torque steer which is no fun at all. Look at most sports cars..... Either RWD or AWD. Fwd is good for daily commuters.

Like the guy above stated, Acura is like the Japanese Cadillac, Lexus is like the Japanese Mercedes & Infiniti is the Japanese BMW. Personally im not a big fan of Acuras but they are very reliable vehicles nevertheless, styling is subjective but to me they seem more like a "begginers" luxury car.

I have a leased 2008 Acura Tl, and I guess the trunk handle or lock broke cause my trunk wont close, would the dealer fix it for free, I have full coverage.

Well if you have full coverage take to the dealer they should fix it for free with any questions. But what you can do you lube the gear where the trunk hooks onto.
