Questions About Acura Cl

Mandy asks…

Acura CL???

where is a good place to get an acura cl for under $7,000?

admin answers:

I own one and I got it from my local Honda dealer. But besides there, autotrader is a really good place because there are more cars to choose from. Before buying the car you should know this, are you buying it for looks or power. I have the 2.2cl and I love the looks and everything it is just that it lacks a lot of horsepower. The 3.0cl would definitely be the one to get if you enjoy a little more power from a v6. Hope that helps and good luck.

Thomas asks…

Why has my 1997 Acura CL stopped beeping when i lock and unlock it?

I have a 1997 Acura CL and it used to beep when i locked and unlocked it. About a week ago it stopped beeping and I havn't figured out why? Any ideas on how i can get it to start beeping at me again?
Peter,

Im sorry to say I have tried this, it doesn't work. I have tried different wait times between when i press the buttons, and none seem to work. Any other thoughts?

admin answers:

Press the trunk button and like right after hit the lock button...like a split second after and youll see the red light flash once at the top and that means it is working. If you do the same procedure again, it will blink twice telling you its not going to beep anymore.

Maria asks…

how do you replace an acura cl digital clock bulb?

I have an 03 Acura CL. The digital clock on the dash usually illuminates the time when I have my headlights turned on. However I believe the light bulb behind the unit has died :( I called Acura service and the cost to replace the bulb plus the labor was a ridiculous amount. Does anyone know how I can change out the bulb myself? Apparently the whole dash has to come off to repair one bulb. Please help!

admin answers:

If i was you I would take it to a shop or go without the clock. Lot of stuff in there that could go wrong.

Sandra asks…

Should I fix dent in trunk of Acura 2003 CL-S and how much should I expect to pay?

I have a dent in the trunk of my 2003 Acura CL-S from backing into a mailbox. I'll [probably be selling the car in about a year. I got one estimate so far to fix the dent for about $1000. I plan to get a few more estimates. Any thoughts on whether it's worth it to get the dent fixed and whether $1000 is reasonable?

admin answers:

No...1000 is too much....700 would be better

Questions About Acura Honda Parts

Daniel asks…

Do Honda parts fit on Acura?

Ok so to be more specific I need to know if the fuel injectors off of a Honda(if so what year and models) ,would fit on an acura integra 95 I know Honda makes both but not all parts fit .my cars non vtec 1.8 and the model is an ls

admin answers:

OBD1 Honda motors (for civic and integra) use the same injectors (regardless of whether its a civic or integra)...if i recall correctly, it is a 240cc injector for all the 1.5, 1.6 and 1.8 litre motor platforms from Honda during that time.

Donald asks…

Parts for Acura/Honda Legend 3.2L V6 (1995)?

Does anyone know where is the best place to get all the performance parts and spare parts of this car in Malaysia? Please share your experience on this car. Thank you

admin answers:

You'll probably need to ship them in. Try buying them off the internet or having a friend bring them in when they visit you. This works well as long as they get the right part. Ive had.. . Intersesting experiences with this since i live in a country that does not have acces like in the states. Some good some bad

Chris asks…

Jenny asks…

Would I be able to get parts and service an Acura RL at a Honda dealer in Europe?

I am currently very tempted to purchase a 2005 Acura RL, and have it shipped to my family in Europe. What makes me hesitate is the fact that there are no Acura service shops or dealers in Europe. Does anybody know if I'd be able to purchase/order parts or have it serviced at a Honda dealership? I am not talking here about fenders, doors, headlights, etc. I am mostly concerned about brakes, wheel bearings, tie rod ends, ball joints...things that wear out and might need to be replaced. I am madly in love with the car, but the potential inability to perform maintenance on it scares the shit out of me.

I am looking forward to any opinions/suggestions.

admin answers:

Probably not. We get cars at our dealership (in u.s.) from canada, and the vin wont even go into our parts catalog. You'd probably have to order parts from the u.s. Are you sure you could even register/ inspect/ insure this car in europe? If you brought a 2005 euro honda to the u.s., you would not be able to do any of the above, due to emissions and safety laws.
