Questions About Acura Rdx Used

Mark asks…

Used Acura RDX vs. New Honda CRV?

I can afford both and I don't really care about the performance, it's just the badge and design of the Acura, but realistically and everyday practicality, which one is better?

admin answers:

If you wait until the end of 2010 when the 2011 Acura RDXs come out you can get a HUGE discount on one. It is still new, even though the 2011s are out.

Lisa asks…

what oil does acura rdx use?

how many quarts?

admin answers:

Any 5W-30 oil (Mobil 1 is the best but not required). Takes 5 quarts since not changing the oil filter just lets all the containments back into the new oil.

Since the RDX is turbo-ed your best bet is going to be getting a 6 quart box of Mobil 1 over at Walmart.

Mandy asks…

how much is too much to pay for a used car payment?

if i get a used 2008 acura rdx with no more than 30,000 miles on it, how much would be too much to pay per month?

admin answers:

How much are you paying for the car? Is it a fair price (check with www.kbb.com)? How much down payment are you making? What will be your interest rate (depends on your credit score)? How long will the loan be (in months)?

You can get the answer to your question by plugging these numbers into a car loan calculator. Here's one you can use:

Carol asks…

can you use regular gasline on Acura RDX?

admin answers:

No it requires premium because it is turbocharged. If you put regular in, the knock sensor will start to go off and your car will retard the timing and you will have poor performance. That poor performance will get you less gas mileage and in the end you will lose the money you tried to save. No engine damage will result because your engine knows how to react but it will only cost you more. You bought a RDX, obviously you have money. 20 cents more per gallon will not break your wallet

Questions About Acura Rdx

Laura asks…

Acura RDX????

I am looking at an Acura RDX, and I wanted to know if anyone has one or has driven one.....what do you think?

I am debating between this and the Ford Edge....

Thanks!

admin answers:

I recently bought an rdx with tech package and have been loving it. I was also looking into the ford edge and would recommend dealing with acura over ford. The experience I had at the dealerships alone convinced me, but more than that, this crossover suv drives like a sports car. The technology in the cabin is just as fun to play with. Get the rdx! You will not regret it, and if money is not the issue, definitely get the tech package.

Nancy asks…

Is it possible to put a k23 engine from an acura rdx to a honda crx?

my friend crashed his brand new acura rdx not too long ago and now its total (hes alive by the way with no injuries). but his motor is in brand new conditioned and i was thinking if i should buy his motor and install it in my crx. will it fit?

admin answers:

Yes, it will fit, but it will also be illegal if you live in California.

EDIT:
The SH-AWD transmission is an automatic and would more than likely not be used in the swap, therefore it WOULD be just as easy as any other K series swap. He would just use a 5 or 6 speed Manual K series transmission

Richard asks…

I have a 2008 Acura Rdx that has been in the shop for brakes alone 6 times in one year is this normal?

I've had this car for a little over a year .The brakes have been cleaned, rotors resurfaced, replaced all 4 rotors and brake pads, heat related run out on rear brakes and then told that all semi metallic brakes make noise. Is this normal on acura rdx or is this a lie?

admin answers:

Yes you are getting the shaft and being takin advantage of go else where to have the work done it takes one time to do a brake job even if you have let them go to the extreme they will fix it right the first time and you are done

Linda asks…

Is it safe to use 100 Octane Fuel in Acura RDX?

I have an 07 Acura RDX which states using a minimum of 91 octane, is there a maximum?

admin answers:

No, there is no maximim.

You can even use 100 octane on a car that only requires 83 ocane.

100 octane is expensive, but adds power to the car while in use.

It can add anywhere from 5 to 10HP.

Questions About Acura Rdx Review

Mandy asks…

How is 2008 Acura RDX ?

http://review-about.blogspot.com/2007/07/2008-acura-rdx.html

admin answers:

Okay :)

Joseph asks…

The Acura RDX or the BMW X3? Or, am I in the wrong league.?

Where I live in New England in a rather upscale town, gas prices are now climbing to $5.00 a gallon. My mother is looking at a new SUV to replace her older one. She really liked the Mazda CX-7, but decided it was not what she was looking for, and was pretty settled on the Acura RDX. I personally love BMW's, and liked the X3, but it was slightly more expensive, and seemed to be getting crushed in reviews by the RDX.
I understand both use premium, and the RDX seems to lack in MPG, and since we live in an area where gas prices soar, could these vehicles be a poor choice? Premium gas, pretty good MPG (at least the X3 seems to have great gas mileage). My mom doesn't want to really have to use Premium, but both SUV's recommend it, and it seems like the RDX has more of a need since it's turbocharged. I've read mixed reviews regarding using premium or not.
My mom is really set on the RDX, but is it truly better than the foreign BMW?

Michael asks…

Has anyone checked out the new Acura RDX yet?

Really hot-looking sport-ute; 4cylinder, turbo: 240 hp, nicely trimmed. Any reviews, what's the word on the street?

admin answers:

Yes its good but it is not as good as its prince
buddy
looks good but green note matter a lot......

Bye take care

Paul asks…

Acura RDX? Good or bad?

I've read many consumer reviews from Edmunds and KBB. Most of the time, the reviews are all positive or totally negative about the SUV. So, anyone have some info that would straighten this car out?

admin answers:

Why not just drop by your local Acura dealer and take it for a test drive and come up with your own conclusion yourself?
