Questions About Acura Rdx Review

Mandy asks…

How is 2008 Acura RDX ?

admin answers:

Okay :)

Joseph asks…

The Acura RDX or the BMW X3? Or, am I in the wrong league.?

Where I live in New England in a rather upscale town, gas prices are now climbing to $5.00 a gallon. My mother is looking at a new SUV to replace her older one. She really liked the Mazda CX-7, but decided it was not what she was looking for, and was pretty settled on the Acura RDX. I personally love BMW's, and liked the X3, but it was slightly more expensive, and seemed to be getting crushed in reviews by the RDX.
I understand both use premium, and the RDX seems to lack in MPG, and since we live in an area where gas prices soar, could these vehicles be a poor choice? Premium gas, pretty good MPG (at least the X3 seems to have great gas mileage). My mom doesn't want to really have to use Premium, but both SUV's recommend it, and it seems like the RDX has more of a need since it's turbocharged. I've read mixed reviews regarding using premium or not.
My mom is really set on the RDX, but is it truly better than the foreign BMW?

Michael asks…

Has anyone checked out the new Acura RDX yet?

Really hot-looking sport-ute; 4cylinder, turbo: 240 hp, nicely trimmed. Any reviews, what's the word on the street?

admin answers:

Yes its good but it is not as good as its prince
buddy
looks good but green note matter a lot......

Bye take care

Paul asks…

Acura RDX? Good or bad?

I've read many consumer reviews from Edmunds and KBB. Most of the time, the reviews are all positive or totally negative about the SUV. So, anyone have some info that would straighten this car out?

admin answers:

Why not just drop by your local Acura dealer and take it for a test drive and come up with your own conclusion yourself?

Questions About Acura Awd Suv

Susan asks…

I'm torn between the new KIA Sorento and ACURA RDX?

Currently in the market for a sporty, SUV, but I have narrowed my decision to these two.

ACURA...Love them, problem though is the pricing with full option. I'm lookin to pay more with FULL OPTIONS + trim around 47K.

With the Sorento on the other hand, I'm looking at little under 34K out the door, this is full option/trim. Not to mention its a AWD. Only problem with the KIA tho...is I'm not sure how reliable they are (never owned one). I've test driven this car quite a few times, and I absolutely love it but there is that little doubt.

Any recommendations? Please RDX/Sorento owners, your opinions are more then welcomed!!!!

admin answers:

Get the kia. With the acura, you are paying more just for the name. Not worth it. The kia is a very reliable vehicle. I work on them all day and the acura is just an over-priced honda.

Jenny asks…

Good small luxury SUV?

Ok so I am looking for a small 5 passenger suv. It has to have a parking system (backup camera or sensors) leather, heated seats, dual zone climate control, AWD

xenon headlights, power liftgate and panorama sunroof would be nice.

already considered BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz ML.....do not like either

I am trying to stay in the 33k-36k range.

***ONLY CONSIDERING NEW CARS***

I am considering the Acura RDX and Ford Edge, although I am really only considering the Edge because it has a power liftgate and panorama sunroof....the RDX has neither...I have heard the Edge is poorly made, and I currently have an 03 explorer, and the alternator died a few months ago. (about 100k miles)

thanks for your input!
As I said before, I am looking at a 5 PASSENGER CAR, WITHIN THE 33K-36K RANGE!!!!! thedrumman
As I said before, I am looking at a 5 PASSENGER CAR, WITHIN THE 33K-36K RANGE!!!!! thedrumman, OBVIOUSLY YOU DIDNT READ IT!

I DONT CARE WHAT YOU WOULD PERSONALLY GET BECAUSE YOU HAVE DIFFERENT NEEDS!

admin answers:

The Edge is not a luxury SUV.

Here are some good SUV's with great reviews.

Hyundai Veracuze-Best value.
Acura RDX-most reliable
Lexus RX series-quietest and smoothest ride
BMW X3-I agree with you.
VW Tiguan-Very nice car. Coming out this year.
Infiniti FX-Most fun to drive, fastest
Infiniti EX-Least luxurious.

Betty asks…

Which Cc would you buy????

Getting a new SUV soonish.

2011 Audi Q7 3.0T AWD Premium

2011 Acura MDX Tech Package AWD

2011 Toyota Highlander Limited V6 4x4

2011 Toyota 4Runner Limited V6 4x4

2011 Dodge Durango Citadel 5.7L Hemi AWD
Title "Which CAR Would you buy"
Ford man=

Explorer does not have adequate torque to my standards.

It also bears the "Exploder" nameplate.

admin answers:

The Durango..I love all cars yes including cars that are not American. I just love the new Durango..second would be the Audi followed closely by the Acura..

For the first answer..that is the new Durango it hasn't even came out yet so how do you know it's a POS? Fail on your part give it a chance.

Mark asks…

Which car companies make advanced 4-wheel drive SUVs?

I know BMW has their XDrive system, and Acura has their SH-AWD system. Any other advanced all-wheel drive systems that can send individual torque to each wheel based on loss of traction?

admin answers:

Jeep has always been known for its great 4X4 if your looking at a bmw suv i would say get the new grand cherokee overland. That has the newest version of their advanced trac 4X4 which will send individual torque to the wheels that are not getting enough traction.
