Helen asks…

OK, So I am looking at the :

how does the acura compare with the Lincoln MKZ?
ride?
performance?
etc....

2007 Lincoln MKZ
V6 AWD

2007 Acura TSX
6MT w/Navigation System

admin answers:

No question the Lincoln is way more car. And for the above poster, the Z is based on the 6/Milan platform. Also, the Nav system in the Z was voted best by JD powers in 2006, edging out the Lexus system. The TSX is a spruced up Honda civic. To all the domestic doubters & haters- when are you going to stop bashing the domestics for no reason and give them a chance?! Honda & toyota make good cars but by no means are they superior to us. Look at all the recalls toyota just had plus the sludged engines. Honda just reacalled 36,000 civic hybrids for stalling, not to metion the accord for airbag problems. Maybe some people should move to Japan!

Michael asks…

Which gives a sportier ride? An Acura TSX or RDX?

I know that the RDX has a 240 hp turbocharged engine and it has SH-AWD and the TSX has a 200 hp 4 cylinder engine with only front wheel drive. But whould the extra weight the RDX has to pull around make it feel more sluggish than the TSX with a weaker engine?

admin answers:

The Acura TSX would give a sportier ride. Like its brochure says, it has "race-inspired suspension". The car doesn't have the power to beat many cars in the straight-away, but you'd be able to out-do them in the twisties.

The RDX is a crossover SUV. Although it has a turbo engine, that turbo is necessary because of all of the extra weight. In other words, the turbo was not added for performance...

Even though the TSX is a 205 hp I4 vehicle, that power is just right for the vehicle. The car has some pep and will give you some enjoyment while driving...

Sandy asks…

what do you guys think about the new 2009 honda/acura tsx thats gonna come out?

Its gonna be a 2.3l turbocharged SH-AWD four cylinder.

admin answers:

Im sure its gonna be nice

Charles asks…

In general, are Audis difficult to service?

Some German cars are difficult to service. The designs are very complicated. I heard that Audi A4 require that you take off the front bumper skin and grill to change a headlight bulb and some major body parts need to be taken off to change the water pump. Is this true or at least my impression? I heard that 1980's Maserati Biturbos needed radiator removal to change the oil...very stupid design or designed by someone with no regard to costs and labor. How about Audis, particularly the A4? I am looking for a slightly better car, like Volvo S60, Saab 9-3, Acura TSX, Lexus IS250 AWD, etc.

admin answers:

Audi's are complicated and repair costs will reflect that fact. Audi shops also charge a lot in labor, compared with Honda/Acura mechanics for example. Audi's are also known for their electrical gremlins. If you are concerned about repair costs, I would avoid Audi or stay under a warranty.
