Thomas asks…

Acura TSX brakes Pulsing?

My brakes are pulsing because my front rotors are warped. I read on a forum that I can get rid of the pulsation by resurfacing the rotors. Should I resurface the rotors or just replace them?

admin answers:

DO NOT replace the rotors. If they are factory rotors and are thick enough to be resurfaced (under the max. Refinishing limit) do it. There is no reason to replace them if you don't have to (costs more). Rotors only need to be replaced when they are too thin to resurface. However, if you want to get rid of the pulse you need to replace the pads to create a flat surface of contact between the pads and rotors. If you have more than 3 mm of material left on you pads (before they hit the squealers) then I would recommend leaving them until you need new pads. You should always resurface you rotors when you replace the pads. If you need any clarification or follow up info, feel free to contact me.

James asks…

Body kit for Pontiac Aztek?

Does anyone know of any body kits for a 2001 Pontiac Aztek? Something that would make it look like this: http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=115484

admin answers:

Did you read the article:
"one of the ugliest, most misconceived vehicles to ever see an assembly line: the Pontiac Aztek."

Personally I think that the best body kit for Pontiac Aztek would be 8 teenagers armed with chainsaws, machetes, sledgehammers and pick axes. Whatever the result, it would be an improvement.
