Do some cars, like Acura, have a Hawaii only version?

Seems like there is a Hawaii only version. What is the difference? Heard of other Hawaii only cars?
My guess was maybe the GPS was different...loaded with different data. Or maybe they make it the same as the Korean version? Can't be the Japanese version since they drive on the left.

Looking at the specs on the first one it appears that the XM radio option as been deleted from the sound system. Acuras all come with XM radio as standard equipment but coverage is not available in Alaska or Hawaii so it's deleted from models destined for those markets.

Some manufacturers have offered regional trim packages on occasion. Ford started with that back in the 1970s with trim packages targeted to Boston, New York, Atlanta, Miami, and Dallas on Lincolns. They also had specialized trim packages on the F150 pickups targeted at the Midwest, South, and Texas.

Cars destined for Hawaii may have additional corrosion protection (salt air is hell on vehicles) and specialized tires to deal with roads that often have coral in the aggregate mix. Coral aggregate causes rapid tire wear and can become very slippery when wet.
