Questions About Acura Of Seattle

Nancy asks…

When will the next Acura car meet around the Seattle area be?

I'm mainly looking for a car meet consisting of mostly the Acura tl. I know there was one a month and a half ago but I missed it as I was informed too late. And if there's anybody out there with an Acura that would like to meet up around the area and go for a drive and photoshoot just let me know. I haven't gone to a meet since I got my car so I'm just itching to go to a meet!

I am trying to gather infomration now on Acurazine.com which is an Acura blog to see if there is any interest in forming an Acura of Seattle Car Club. I have checked with several people and cant seem to find any Acura clubs in the area. We will support this club with a place to gather and hold meeting and kick off driving events and shows. Also we can provide music, eats and awards for events held at our store. If you go to Acurazine.com this is a local blog and I am trying also to get a meeting with the person that runs this company to see if we can solicit his help in forming a club. So for now we are working on this and hope to have some interest very soon.

Helen asks…

can i sue the city of seattle for messed up roads, if i damaged my car?

i was recently driving on the road and i have a acura integra and i ran over a sink hole without seeing it and it high centered my car and crushed the down pipe and ripped my oil pan open. i dont know what else may be messed up but im pretty sure any other cars that are coupes that drive over it will get high centered too. is there anything i can do? or do i just have to repair it myself and say screw it?

The argument is that if you were in control of your auto you would not drive into a hole in the road. Since you did call your insurance provider.

William asks…

Acura TSX, Acura RSX, Mitsubishi Eclipse or Subaru Baja?

So basically right now i have about $10,000 of my own money, and my parents will help me out me somewhere between $2000-3000 also to spend on a car, and i've narrowed it down to these 4 cars, and i really would like some help (or personal opinions about the cars themselves) to help me decide. also, i would really like to get the best value for my money, because i want to put as much of it away for college as i can.

currently im a Junior in high school, and would like a car that is going to get alright-good mpg, look cool (sorry, i had to say it), and also be comfortable and be able to carry some stuff, but nothing too big. i love to go snowboarding ( i live right outside of seattle), so need something that can make it up to the mountains. i also need some room to carry my football gear to and from practice during the season. I drive 34 miles total every school day (round trip), so a good mpg is nice (TSX gets ~25, baja ~20) and i drive mostly highway and a little bit of city.

so far, all of these cars i really like, and the subaru baja is definitely on the top of my list, but is also the most expensive. the next would be the TSX, and the last two would be the RSX and the Eclipse. ive already researched these cars out (im not paying for insurance, so you dont have to go into that)

so yeah, right now its mostly between the baja or TSX, i really like both .TSX looks really nice, nice interior, very reliable, great mpg, and the Baja has a nice sporty look, the AWD will get me through the winters, and has REALLY good safety and reliability ratings.

so any help or personal opinions would be great

Thanks!

btw heres the edmunds link to each

Subaru Forester.

Honestly, any Subaru with AWD is going to be the business, so you're best off going for the one that has the most space and doesn't look like it's trying to be a ute version of a Legacy Outback.

Ken asks…

94 acura legend still sickly?

My legend failed emissions, the c0 was too high! 'it is getting too much gas! I pulled a vaccuum line that comes right off of the throttle body and it idled better at the time? it must be oxgened starved? anyone know what those two things equal? I am thinking...egr, map, ????????please someone that knows helpless in Seattle

admin answers:

Well there is a list of things that could be wrong, its a shame to start throwing parts at something that is otherwise running decently to pass a test : /

Check your spark plugs and coil packs, this might be part of the problem.

Make sure the o2 sensors are working correctly

you can get some fuel injector treatment and run a full tank of gas through the car with this in there and then fill up with premium, you might just have a clogged injector.

Other things to consider is the egr valve and pcv valve.
